Le Moutier
Maison d'hôtes
au coeur des châteaux de la Loire
ABOUT US
In the heart of the Loire Châteaux region with its vineyards, Le Moutier welcomes you throughout
the year, nestled in the peace and quiet of a large garden and orchards. You can go for walks along
the banks of the river Cher, discover vineyard slopes and taste Touraine wines sitting in the shade of plane trees or in front of a log fire depending on the season. Martine and Jean-Louis Coursaget welcome you to their Touraine stone-built mansion where a home-made breakfast is served in the large dining room. You can also join them for a Table d’hôtes dinner expertly created by Martine using local produce and home-grown vegetables and fruit.
Jean-Louis, the artist of the house, will take you wine tasting or show you his paintings in his studio…or both.
The perfect place from which to visit the Loire Châteaux, Le Moutier is 20mins from Chenonceau, 30
mins from the Garden Festival of Chaumont sur Loire, 30mins from Amboise, 45mins from
Chambord and 10mins from the Zooparc de Beauval.

The other two bedrooms are situated in the separate “Artist’s Studio” building which adjoins the main house.
TABLES D'HOTES
As good epicureans , Martine and Jean-Louis like good food. Dinners and breakfasts are home-made to offer you a moment of authenticity, pleasure and sharing.
The evening meals are shared with your hosts in the big, airy dining room or on the outdoor terrace when the weather is fine. Recipes are created using seasonal produce whenever possible and also the region’s many local specialities (asparagus, local “charcuterie”, goat’s cheese…) Martine uses her own home-grown vegetables and home-produced eggs, expertly crafting dishes for a fine dining experience. Naturally, the meals are served with Touraine wines.
For breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade jam and cakes, fresh from the oven bread and viennoiseries from the village bakery. A good hearty breakfast will set you up for your day of visiting this fascinating area.
